Marais des Cygnes National Wildlife Refuge | U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service
Marais des Cygnes National Wildlife Refuge was established in 1992 for the protection and restoration of bottomland hardwood forest. The 7,500 acre Refuge hosts bottomland hardwood forests which are unique in Kansas and provides an opportunity to experience a different world than what is found in most of the state.
