Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital (MSRH) is Connecticut’s only licensed acute rehabilitation hospital and the largest provider of acute rehabilitation services in central Connecticut. In 2015, MSRH became part of Trinity Health Of New England, an integrated health care delivery system that is a member of Trinity Health, Livonia, MI, one of the largest multi-institutional Catholic health care delivery systems in the nation. MSRH offers rehabilitation for brain and spinal cord injury, amputees, stroke, nerve and joint injury, multiple sclerosis, and the effects of major surgery. The Joyce D. and Andrew J. Mandell Center for Comprehensive Multiple Sclerosis Care and Neuroscience Research is located on the MSRH campus. At MSRH, a nationally recognized staff of rehabilitation specialists in physiatry; physical, occupational, and recreation therapy; speech and language pathology; orthopedics; otolaryngology; urology; neurology and neuropsychology; social work and counseling; and pharmaceutical sciences is equipped to provide integrated services needed to reach the best possible rehabilitative outcomes in one center of medical rehabilitation excellence.
