As a young man Brant Cooper, M.D., was fascinated by anatomy and biology, so medical school was a natural choice. But first he earned a bachelor’s degree in English—-just to keep himself balanced and to enhance his communication skills. Deliberate choices, made with care and with the simple goal of better serving patients, help to characterize the Bethel neighborhood’s full-time obstetrician-gynecologist. Why OB/Gyn? It allows him to be “a true general practitioner,” says Dr. Cooper, doing everything from delivering babies to performing surgery.
