Dr. Backonja strives to provide comprehensive care to each of his patients based on his broad experience in assessment and treatment of chronic pain. Listening to each patient's life story and how each patient deals with pain and impact that pain has on patient's life and function are critical when he makes assessment and treatment plan for that patient. He work closely with rest of the team in the clinic as well as with referring clinicians so he can assure that the best treatment can be implemented for each patient.
