OPP HOUSING AUTHORITY - OPP, ALABAMA - EQUAL HOUSING OPPORTUNITY PROVIDERS

Since 1958, the Opp Housing Authority has been providing decent, safe and affordable housing to individuals and families of low and fixed incomes as they strive for self-sufficiency. All operations are regulated and evaluated by the U.S. Department Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Presently, the Opp Housing Authority oversees 170 public housing apartments that are based on income. The Opp Housing Authority also administers , 100 Housing Choice Vouchers that are Covington County wide. In accordance with HUD regulations, we are a smoke free housing authority. This means that smoking is not allowed in our buildings or within 25 feet of our buildings. We accept applications for public housing on Tuesday and Thursday. We are not accepting applications for the Housing Choice Voucher Program.
